Happiest birthday to His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia

We wish the happiest birthday to His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia! A ceremony is usually held to honor His Majesty where awards and recognitions are bestowed to His Majesty’s loyal subjects with great contribution to the nation.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong (literally 'He Who is Made Lord', Jawi: يڠ دڤرتوان اݢوڠ‎), also known as the Supreme Head or the King, is the constitutional monarch and head of state of Malaysia. The office was established in 1957 when the Federation of Malaya (now Malaysia) gained independence from the United Kingdom. Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy with an elected monarch as head of state. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong is one of the few elected monarchs in the world.
The 16th and current Yang di-Pertuan Agong is Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah (Abdullah of Pahang), replacing Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan, who abdicated on 6 January 2019. He was elected on 24 January, at a special meeting of the Conference of Rulers; he took the oath of office and was sworn in at the Istana Negara on 31 January.
